The Bill Korb for Michigan
Highway Cleanup Initiative
Join Bill Korb, Diop Harris, and Jen Strebs for a community highway cleanup in Galesburg as we take care of the newly adopted “Bill Korb for Michigan” stretch of highway. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community, protect Michigan’s natural environment, and connect with local volunteers and candidates working to make our region stronger.
Saturday, April 11 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Meet at Comstock Township Center located at 5858 Kings Highway.
All volunteers must attend a brief safety orientation upon arrival before the cleanup begins. After the safety brief, we will head to the cleanup site together. The campaign will provide: trash bags, gloves, high-visibility safety vests, snacks and water.
Volunteer Guidelines
Please wear long sleeves and long pants for safety.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Children under 12 are not permitted to participate due to safety requirements along the roadway.
This cleanup is also a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours for the Kalamazoo County Democratic Party or other organizations that require community service hours. Come help us keep Michigan beautiful while building community with fellow volunteers and local leaders. Please register below!
