TOP PRIORITIES

  • Bill is committed to a government that works for the people—not corporate PACs, lobbyists, or special interests.

    He will:

    • Refuse all corporate PAC and SuperPAC money, ensuring his decisions are guided by the people he serves.

    • Push for full transparency, including clearer reporting on lobbying, political spending, and legislative conflicts of interest.

    • Demand honest budgeting that puts community needs first.

    • Support tougher ethics laws to eliminate pay-to-play politics and strengthen investigative power.

    • Crack down on conflicts of interest in state government.

    • Empower whistleblowers to expose corruption, fraud, and abuses of power without fear of retaliation.

    • Ban the politician-to-lobbyist pipeline, including cooling-off periods.

    • Make FOIA apply to the Governor and Legislature.

Michiganders deserve a state government they can trust—one that answers to them, not to wealthy donors.

  • As a long-time IT professional, Bill understands how today’s digital economy squeezes consumers in ways old laws never anticipated. Families deserve products they own, devices they can repair, and digital rights that protect them—not corporations. Bill also understands that Michigan’s housing crisis is driven by corporate landlords, speculation, and years of underbuilding.

    Bill will push to:

    • Prevent corporations from buying up homes and driving families out of the market.

    • Raise taxes on the ultra-wealthy to fund housing solutions and community infrastructure.

    • Empower small developers to build more affordable homes.

    • Expand access to childcare, which is essential for family stability and economic growth.

    • Right-to-Repair so people can fix their own devices and keep costs down.

    • Protections for digital purchases—if you buy software, books, or media, you should be able to use them even if a company shuts down or drops device support.

    • Required end-user support for discontinued devices, preventing companies from abandoning customers.

    • Municipal Broadband, giving cities the power to deliver affordable, reliable internet. Internet is a utility, not a luxury.

    • A Digital Bill of Rights, guaranteeing:

      • Control of your identity and likeness (including protections from unauthorized AI use).

      • Data privacy, with Opt-In consent required for data collection (not Opt-Out).

      • Restrictions on data brokers and corporate surveillance.

  • Michigan’s economy has left too many workers behind. Bill is running to build a state where working people have more time with their families, fair compensation, and real power on the job.

    Bill will fight to:

    • Pass a Day of Rest Law guaranteeing workers protected time off with their families.

    • Set a cap on required weekly hours, preventing employers from abusing mandatory overtime.

    • Raise the minimum wage so no one working full time lives in poverty.

    • Strengthen the right to organize, protect collective bargaining, and crack down on anti-union retaliation.

    • Guarantee workplace safety, including better staffing, fair scheduling, and protections for gig workers and contractors.

    • Stop wage theft and punish employers who steal time, tips, or overtime.

Bill believes the real power of Michigan comes from workers and consumers, not corporations. A strong Michigan begins with strong workers.

  • Michigan’s identity is tied to its lakes, forests, and land. Bill believes these are sacred resources—not bargaining chips for corporate polluters.

    Bill will champion:

    • Clean energy investments that lower costs and create jobs.

    • Resilient, green infrastructure in transportation, public buildings, and utilities.

    • Protection of lakes, rivers, forests, and farmland from pollution and harmful development.

    • Opposition to Line 5 and other threats to our waterways.

    • Protection of Indigenous sacred lands across Michigan.

    • Expansion of community recycling, composting, and waste reduction programs.

    • Environmental justice that empowers communities to stand up to polluters.

Michigan must remain a place worth passing on to future generations.
